As a Jin Shin Jyutsu® Practitioner, Elizabeth specialises in helping those experiencing pain and discomfort with existing health conditions - such as backache, sciatica, migraine, insomnia, painful joints, arthritis, frozen shoulder, repetitive strain injury, fatigue, fibromyalgia, ME, post-operative pain, pain from broken bones, sprains and strains etc. Emotional conditions may also be helped or supported by Jin Shin Jyutsu - such as grief, depression, those who have lost their zest for or direction in life, or those who are just searching for that elusive something more. Jin Shin Jyutsu® is a gentle ancient healing art of harmonising life energy in the body. The body contains energy pathways that feed life into all cells. When one or more of these paths become blocked, the damming effect can lead to discomfort or pain. Jin Shin Jyutsu releases the tensions that cause various physical symptoms in the body, bringing relaxation, reducing the effects of stress, and balancing the energy flow to help our body to begin to heal itself. It was her own ill-health and emotional difficulties that drew Elizabeth to Jin Shin Jyutsu in the early 1990’s and it was finding Jin Shin Jyutsu that began her path back to physical and emotional health. She became so fascinated by this mysterious wonderful healing art that she felt compelled to study it herself so that she could likewise help others. So began a long and beautiful Jin Shin Jyutsu journey of discovery. Elizabeth has been an authorised Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner since 1999 and she continues with her lifelong study of this fascinating ancient healing art and life philosophy. Jin Shin Jyutsu can also be practised as self-help, and during her ill-health Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help was a great friend as Elizabeth gradually discovered the wonderful re-energising effects of quietly practising the easiest exercises. She became enthusiastic to develop her Jin Shin Jyutsu practice to become an authorised Self-Help Instructor in 2000. Elizabeth is passionate about this aspect, and loves holding Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-Help Workshops to share with others this amazing and empowering way of helping themselves to greater health and wellbeing. Elizabeth is also no stranger to the stresses and strains of modern day life, having spent much of her life working in the business world, as well as practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu and living the philosophy. Keeping a foot in both worlds has been fascinating and challenging. During the 1990’s, Elizabeth also took part in a 2-year part time Foundations Counselling Skills course, Usui Reiki level 2, and Colour Therapy course. Elizabeth has also studied for a Reflexology Diploma and will graduate in July 2016. These days, Elizabeth lives a quiet and contemplative way of life, and draws on the wisdom gained from her invaluable life experiences and studies, together with over 20 years of studying this wonderful healing art, to work full-time as a therapist, Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner and self-help teacher, and would love to hear from you.
