“I have had the pleasure of teaching at Koorana since day one. In fact, my Connecting with your Angels workshop was the very first to be held at the Centre! The wonderful energy and the comfortable, warm environment that Gabrielle has created is an ideal space to relax and learn, and those who attend my events, whether it be an all day workshop or two hour class, always enjoy being there. I can’t imagine offering my local events anywhere else now!” Anna Taylor, Angel Therapy Practitioner, Theta Healer, International Singer-Songwriter.

The Koorana Centre is the perfect venue for classes, workshops and retreats related to all areas of personal development.

Situated in the historic village of Ardingly, West Sussex, this beautiful and tranquil centre provides the perfect setting for wellbeing activities. The Victorian building has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is available to hire throughout the year and is a perfect venue to bring people together. Ardingly is just 3 miles from Haywards Heath with fast and frequent rail services to London (45 minutes) and the South Coast (15 minutes). London Gatwick Airport is situated 13 miles away.

When you want to inspire others with your ideas, share your vision or message, teach skills or simply use the space as a welcome retreat, the centre provides everything you need. It can also be hired for presentations and exhibitions. There is free parking outside on Street Lane and in a local car park. We can make recommendations to meet your requirements for overnight accommodation, transport, catering and equipment hire.

About the space

The former chapel with its light vaulted ceiling and original stained glass windows was renovated in 2012. It provides a fabulous space for exercise classes and features a stunning natural oak floor, under floor heating and ventilation through windows and oscillating ceiling fans.

Main Hall

The Main Hall is approximately 800 square feet in size. It comfortably seats 60 guests in a theatre style and provides space for 15-20 yoga mats. It has a natural oak floor with under floor heating. It also has a large display screen which is ideal for presentations and it has facilities to play Blue Ray and DVDs. The centre does not have it’s own WIFI connection. The walls feature modern artwork by artists that work at the centre.

Consulting Room

The Consulting Room can be hired in addition to the Main Hall for serving food and refreshments, or used as a smaller breakout space.

Seminar Room

The Seminar Room provides an ideal space for smaller groups. It is approximately 55 square feet in size and has a carpeted floor. It can accommodate up to 22 guests in a theatre style with space for 6-8 yoga mats. It has separate access at the side of the building that is suitable for wheelchair users and can also be reached through the Main Hall. Its main wall features a collection of contemporary art and new exhibitions are introduced every few months.

Therapy Room

The Therapy Room is perfect for small groups of up to 8 participants and can be hired as a breakout space for the adjoining Seminar Room. Both rooms have a small shared reception area and access to a disabled toilet. The walls feature modern artwork by artists that work at the centre.

Kitchen and Garden

There is a small kitchen with fridge, microwave and the facilities to make refreshments. The centre has a small and sunny courtyard garden, which is available to use when space has been hired.

Room hire rates and full terms and conditions of hire are available upon request.

About the location

Ardingly is situated in the very heart of Sussex close to the High Weald, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the South Downs which offer wonderful walking opportunities and magnificent coastal views. Lindfield and Cuckfield Villages are a 10 minute drive away and provide a colourful selection of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.
