Restorative Exercise classes are taught by Ghillan Kenton on Mondays 10-11am. Ghillan is a Nutritious Movement® Certified Restorative Exercise Specialist and also a Pilates Teacher, qualified through the Pilates Foundation.

Restorative Exercise is the work of Katy Bowman, a Biomechanist and author of several books including the groundbreaking “Move your DNA, Restore your Health Through Natural Movement”.

Primarily a mat based class, it teaches a series of corrective exercises known as “small moves” which are practised with the aim of improving alignment and restoring larger whole body movements. Classes are relaxed and informative and can help identify some of the common immobilities we all experience as a result of our adaptations to modern day living.

Suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, Restorative Exercise will improve the way you sit, stand, and move. It will enable you to build strength and increase flexibility in a safe way, and help you to develop movement skills that perhaps you didn’t even know you were missing.
